Abstract Photography - Art For New Generation

Abstract Landscape Photography - New Form Of Art

Thanks to advancements in technology, our photography equipment in recent years have reached amazing levels. Besides improving the quality of images it also presented us with all kinds of opportunities for creative photography. That wasn't possible before that. These days, our cameras and processing software allow us to create photography art that is often confused with paintings, or digital art. Regardless if people see the image in digital or in a printed form.

Fine Art Photography

Digital photography art has many forms. Fine art photography offers more traditional resembling images, that are masterfully edited to reflect class, very precise lighting, and concreteness of subjects. Fine art photography is very popular among art enthusiasts because many people are used to it from the body of previous work. Only now perhaps it has become more fine-tuned, more precise, sharper, and more elegant. But in essence, fine art photography has not really changed that much. It produces the same thing, only in a fancier wrapper.

Landscape Photography

If you compare the early landscape photography of Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, or Imogen Cunningham to the landscape images people photograph now. The main difference you will notice first is the quality of the finally produced art. In fact, a lot of scenes previously shot by Ansel Adams in Yosemite (and other landscape destinations) are still being copied by today's landscape photographers. Because the Half Dome or Snake River in Wyoming hasn't really changed that much in 50 years. They look about the same. But if you compare the images produced today with ones produced a few decades ago. You can clearly see, that technology allows for images of superior quality.

And no matter how much Ansel Adams would try to replicate today's photography. He couldn't even come close, simply because of the technology that was available to him. His photographs will always be limited compared to what famous landscape photographers can do in these times.

Abstract Photography Art

In any form, it is a given that advancements in technology help human beings achieve better results, beat previous records, or improve our lives by offering new gadgets as well as helping expand our artistic creativity. With the invention of smartphones with cameras, the internet, and different social platforms, millions of people became super creative. They started producing trillions of hours of creative content online, in the form of images, audio, video, and mixed media. You can literally spend hours on Tik-Tok, while your lunch is getting cold because you can not stop scrolling through a funny cat or dog videos produced by people from all over the globe. This is only possible because of the technology we now possess.

The same applies to abstract photography. Camera equipment and technology we have, today, allow us to create abstract photography prints that wouldn't be available otherwise. 50 years ago, wave photography wouldn't even be possible because we didn't have waterproof cases for cameras. Macro photography would be very difficult since the zoom lenses weren't so advanced. Not to mention, editing software that we have today allows artists to create abstract art which was pretty much impossible to create with analog techniques and equipment used in previous decades.

Abstract Photography And Interior Design

Abstract photography art is favorable in many interior design styles because of its adaptability. Abstract art often lacks defined subjects and blends easier with other decors inside the living space. In these times, abstract art is usually the go-to choice for many interior designers when they are putting the final touches on their home design projects. Abstract art creations often include blurriness, reflections, symmetry of lines, color combinations, and parts of architecture or motion. Abstract art is modern and very versatile in its display. Many times as long as the viewer enjoys the feel of abstract art, it can be displayed pretty much anywhere.
