Valentines Couple
Photo Location: Joshua Tree National Park, CA
In Joshua Tree National Park, the land feels ancient in a way that quiets the mind. Vast heaps of pale stone rise from the earth—monzogranite shaped not in haste, but by the patient hands of time, worn smooth by wind and sun into forms that seem almost imagined. Among these silent giants, California junipers endure. They twist and lean, their gnarled limbs tracing stories of drought and survival, their blue-green needles soft against the starkness of rock. Rooted in cracks and crevices, they cling where little else can, as though the stone itself had learned to breathe. Here, the meeting of tree and boulder is a quiet conversation—weathered, resilient, and beautifully strange. Image taken on Valentines day in 2025. Image copyright © Jongas Fine Art Photography.
