Each year, Santa Barbara yacht club hosts and annual regatta in order to raise money for charitable causes- in their case help out a local hospice and to pay for nurse care expenses. Through their events they have raised over 1.5Million dollars over the years. The "Fun"-draiser usually takes place with a race of over 60 boats around the month of September. It is a truly great spectacle to see the colorful sailboats compete out in the ocean!

Another event Santa Barbara used to host was called "Wine and Roses" hence the name of the artwork! I am not quite sure which event the photo was taken at, I just enjoyed the variety of sailboats create a cartoonish like pattern on the horizon, which inspired me to create this into an wall art piece. It's simple, refreshing and would be a great fit as bathroom wall decor in your home, hotel or office.
