City photography prints are my favorite type of modern art. Photographing nature can be quite exciting. But if you go to visit some lake, waterfall or a National park where with a gigantic mountain. Chances are, the landscape in that location will be the same for many years to come. The mountain will not get any bigger or smaller, the lake will most likely be the same, and the beaches hardly change ever.

It is quite different when it comes to cities. City photography is fascinating because you can visit a city a year later and it will have new structures, new buildings, new building designs, and perhaps even houses demolished to open up space for newer developments. Of course, there are iconic structures in most cities that are meant to stand there for centuries, like the Statue of Liberty, Golden Gate Bridge (click here for golden gate pictures for sale), Empire state building, Hollywood sign or Gediminas Castle Tower like you see in this image from Vilnius Lithuania. That stood there for more than 5 centuries.

Yet in general, cities change quite rapidly and that is what makes photographing them exciting. There is always something new to discover and every time there is an opportunity to capture something that might be the last remaining documented history of that part of town or a historic snapshot of some architectural era.
